Until the Clock Strikes Midnight

Preorder Sales (plural) and Blurbs

Hellllllo. It’s September!! Can you hear this song below?

Anyway, I’ve gotta tell you about preorder salessssss. That’s right, it’s that time of year (which seems to happen more frequently) to share that Barnes & Noble is having a sale. Here’s the link.

It’s still happening. Use #PREORDER25 at checkout today!

Let me get real with you: I desperately want people to buy and hype my book, I want to get all eyes on it. I’ve been told that to help it succeed, I have to promote the preorder sale from B&N. I can do that, I can believe that the numbers will make them go: ooooo, let’s stock these books in store! But…in truth, I’m a midlist Black author writing Black characters in cozy fantasy, the likelihood of them putting my stories on their shelves isn’t high. Thus my hesitance to shout SAAAAALE! Here I am though.

That said, there’s another 25% off preorder sale happening at Heartleaf Books and this one is going until September 7th! One that I want to shout about!

I’ve been to two events there when I lived in Providence, and it’s a lovely bookstore. I want to support them however I can, so please let me direct any business their way. SPEND YOUR MONEY THERE. Here’s the link for my book, but definitely check out as many as your heart desires.

And finally, here’s another blurb for Until the Clock Strikes Midnight from……… AIDEN THOMAS… you know, just incredibly wonderful New York Times bestselling author of so many gorgeous books in the fantasy space that centers queer and Latinx characters. I’ve admired Aiden for years, and I’ve been lucky to meet and fawn in person a while back. To get this blurb means the world to me. Eeeee, look:

"A sparkling fairy-tale remix, Until the Clock Strikes Midnight brims with sly humor, swoony romance, and enough glitter to light up a kingdom. Between bookshop magic and razor-sharp banter, Alechia Dow crafts a world where queer love stories bloom in the unlikeliest places, and midnight kisses linger long after the clock has struck. Witty, tender, and delightfully chaotic, this is proof that happily-ever-afters can be messy, magical, and worth every risk." --Aiden Thomas, New York Times-bestselling author of Cemetery Boys

Alright, that’s it for now! Thanks for reading and I wish you all have happy days ahead. xx
